The OneVoice Movement regrets that the Jericho Summit that was to be hosted by OneVoice Palestine on October 18th as part of its One Million Voices campaign is postponed due to security considerations.
This is a serious setback to the 600,000 Palestinian and Israeli signatories to the OneVoice Mandate, and to the millions of moderates in the region and worldwide who recognize the imperative of ending the conflict through a two-state solution.
The global responsibility of amplifying voices of moderates to help them seize back the agenda for conflict resolution is only further highlighted by this development.
The OneVoice Summit in Tel Aviv and echo events worldwide will continue as planned, as will the overall campaign, One Million Voices To End The Conflict, across Israel and Palestine.

The “People’s Summit” in Jericho will take place in Jericho Stadium in the West Bank city of Jericho. The event will feature live music, speeches by dignitaries and celebrities, statements from grassroots activists, and a laser show.
With special performances by:
Ilham al Madfai • Reem Telhami • DAM Rap • Al Asayel Group
in addition to Jameel Al Asayeh and the 18 Palestinian musicians from the Samah Group.
Concurrent with the event in Jericho, Israeli moderates will gather in Tel Aviv to demonstrate their support for a two-state solution and an immediate return to negotiations. This unprecedented “People’s Summit” will mark the first time that massive numbers of Israelis and Palestinians gather simultaneously to propel their elected leaders to sit down and negotiate a two-state solution, guaranteeing independent states for Israelis and Palestinians.
The music and entertainment portion of the Jericho program is being overseen by Dr. Fathi Darwish, a seasoned executive who has worked with the Palestinian government and within NGOs & civil society organizations for 30 years.
Security at the event will be provided by the Palestinian Presidential Forces and leading private security firms.
